The AP people are anxiously waiting for Governor Viswa Bhushan Harichandan to take a call on the two important issues that finally reached him which can change the fate of the Andhra Pradesh people.
It is known that the AP High court ordered the State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar to meet the governor for his appointment as the SEC of AP as the HC set aside the ordinance issued by the YSRCP government that removed Nimmagadda as the SEC. But the AP government didn’t heed the Court’s words and on the HC’s orders, Ramesh Kumar is scheduled to meet the Governor this morning at 11.30 am seeking his reinstatement in the post.
On the other side, two of the most controversial bills in the history of newly formed Andhra Pradesh, regarding the Capital have been sent for the assent of the Governor. It is already known that the government introduced two Bills, one to repeal the Capital Region Development Authority Act (CRDA) and the other on decentralization of administration, to facilitate the trifurcation of the capital.
Now, the AP governor, who has been severely criticized for acting in the favour of the government all these days is feeling the pressure to make decisions regarding these two issues. Out of the two, the capital decentralization bill is the prominent one for which all the political parties along with the people have been waiting for a conclusion and now, the governor’s office has become the venue for this historical moment.
