With the ban of Chinese apps in India, entire world is reconsidering their view on Chinese apps collecting their personal data. People in few countries were asking their Governments to follow Indian way of banning Chinese apps to protect themselves. Looks like China understood the situation and analyzed the future trend of its digital industry.
Responding to this, China changed its regulations which require app developers in China to get approvals from the Government officials. Respecting the Chinese rules, Apple came up with a move of removing 4500 gaming apps from its Chinese app stores as they are not in line with the new rule.
Majority of the Apple app stores gaming apps are from China and the removal of these apps will be a big blow for Apple’s revenue. China takes 6 to 12 months to approve apps and it would take a long time before these apps comes back to Apple store.
