The Central government has recently introduced 3 new farm law bills, and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman is has been trying to do everything in her power to better explain these reforms to every state.
Recently, Nirmala Sitaraman has toured a few areas in Krishna District and has personally met with several farmers. Speaking to the media, Nirmala Sitaraman said that all of the farmers she has met with have expressed great enthusiasm with respect to the new agricultural laws.
According to the new agricultural laws, a farmer can sell his crop anywhere in the country, without any additional burdens. The farmers can also make use of the e-NAM, which will yield them more profit for their crop.
These new agricultural laws all allow farmers to make agreements with purchasing companies, and they can even form Farmer Producing Organizations (FPOs). Not just that, farmers can also increase the value of what they produce in their farms with these new reforms, which will help ease their financial positions.
Many opposition parties have raised objections to these reforms, including the government of Telangana, and especially the Congress party. Nirmala Sitaraman explained that the Congress party had these laws as part of their manifesto, but that they are currently objecting to these reforms due to purely political reasons.
