AP High court sets a deadline for the state government on local body elections

Recently, the AP High court issued key guidelines regarding the local body elections to be held in the state.

The High court has ordered the state government to send three principal Secretary level officers to meet the State Election Commissioner, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.

It has also set a deadline of three days after receiving the order copy.

As the state government is not holding the local body elections under the coronavirus pandemic, the High court has ordered the authorities to explain all those details to SEC, Ramesh Kumar.

The High court also said the in case if the talks between the SEC and the state government fail then the arguments will be again heard in the court.
