The NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The meeting, which was held via video conference, was attended by the Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Piyush Goyal, Narendra Singh Tomar, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, several Union Ministers as well as Justice Commission Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar, and many other dignitaries.
However, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee were absent.
Participating in the meeting, AP CM Jagan said that, “Due to bifurcation, AP suffered a lot. If Andhra Pradesh is given a special status, we will move forward in industrial development.”
CM Jagan explained that we are moving forward with the reforms prescribed by the Center.
