The Andhra Pradesh government, headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has permitted the cinema halls to operate with 100 per cent capacity from Thursday (tomorrow).
Amid the steady decline in Covid-19 cases, the government eased the curbs on film theatres and allowed the exhibitors to run with full capacity while adhering to COVID norms.
For some time now, the filmmakers from Tollywood are urging the state government to allow theatres to work with 100 per cent occupancy. In this context, it is a big relief for Tollywood to release the flicks in the coming days. Notably, the Telangana state government has been allowing 100 per cent seating since June.
It is worthy to mention that many medium budget films have announced their release dates for the upcoming festival season. AP government’s latest decision on 100 per cent capacity will surely help the filmmakers to enter into profit zones.
