AP government to launch new ticketing portal

The government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to launch a new cinema ticketing portal. This portal will be on the lines of railway booking portal, as mentioned in the abstract released by the government.

The government plans to keep track of ticket sales and thus get a clearer idea of the revenues that are being generated through the theatrical industry in the twin Telugu states.

The government has already restricted ticket pricing in cinema halls across Andhra Pradesh. Now, it is proposing to launch a new ticketing portal to track the theatrical revenues.

We can expect the government of Andhra Pradesh to launch this ticketing portal in the near future.

The abstract read that the ticketing portal will be managed by AP State Film, Television, and theatre development corporation. More details about the same are under the wraps for now.
