We are aware that the distribution and preparation of Anandaiah’s Ayurvedic medicine have been stopped by the government since Saturday as the experts took up a study to determine its efficacy.
According to the preliminary information given by the AYUSH Commissioner, there is no objection to the distribution of vaccine manufactured by Anandayya in Krishnapatnam of Nellore district, said AP Medical and Health Chief Secretary Anil Kumar Singhal.
He spoke to reporters in Vijayawada on Sunday and said that Anandayya has been doing such conventional systems for several years now. There is no objection to continuing it without declaring it an Ayurvedic medicine.
The final decision will be announced after the report of the government-appointed expert committee. He, however, said that it was not recognized as Ayurvedic medicine and that in doing so, it would require scientific confirmation and other approvals as per the central government guidelines.
He also said that the remedy so far had no (negative) impact and all ingredients being used in the preparation were authorized to be safe.
