The state government has taken steps to maintain religious harmony in AP. The government has issued orders setting up state and district level committees.
CS Adityanath Das formed a state-level committee with 8 members. CS said that a district-level committee with six members will be chaired by collectors.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, he said that the committees would constantly monitor the situation in the state. He clarified that the police department is trying to nab the culprits responsible for the serial incidents.
The State Committee consists of the Chief Secretaries of Home, General Administration, Revenue, and Minority Welfare. CS said the committees will gather frequently.
The state committee will have a representative from all religions as members. CS revealed that these committees will constantly monitor the situation in the state.
