The YSRCP government has maintained suspense over the capital city construction since long. It has not given any official information, even though a few of the YSRCP leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana came up with some contradictory statements.
Finally, it seems, the state government is all set to think about the Capital city now. Regarding this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has formed a committee, through which the young CM is going to decide on whether the capital city should be retained in Amaravati or consider shifting it and the construction process to be undergone.
Adding to it, the government will also decide whether to decentralize the capital and consider more places for the development, based on their significance. The previous governments completely concentrated on Hyderabad alone and developed it into a Hitech city, due to which rest other places had to face negligence. This made it tough during the bifurcation of Telugu states.

So unwilling to face the similar fortune in the future, Jagan is keen to decentralize the Capital and develop more places simultaneously. In that case, Jagan will have the chance of retaining Amaravati and thus avoid criticism from the public. At the same time, he will enjoy the identity of picking few more places for Capital, due to the decentralization. So the report from the committee, which is expected to be out soon, has acquired quite significance among the political circles.
