AP BJP is still in search of a candidate for the Tirupati by-polls !!

AP Bharatiya Janata Party has announced its election campaign committee in the wake of the Tirupati by-election. AP BJP is yet to decide its candidate for the upcoming Tirupati Lok Sabha by-polls to be held on April 17. With the death of sitting MP Balli Durga Prasad, an election was inevitable in Tirupati.

After announcing the BJP candidate, the campaign committee of both parties will start campaigning, said BJP chief Somu Veerraju.

However, still the party leaders said the BJP would announce its candidate soon. The BJP leaders in Tirupati constituency feel that there is a lot of opposition to the government among the people and they are planning to turn this in their favor.

BJP leaders predict that YCP factions will not resort to violence, attacks and intimidation in the by-elections as they did in the local elections because they are aware of the powers of the Central Electoral Commission.
