Former TDP MLA BC Janardhan Reddy has been arrested by the police. He was arrested in connection with the attack on YSRCP activist Koneti Durga Prasad at the old bus stand in Banganepalli.
As per reports, Janardhan Reddy along with his followers attacked Durga Prasad with sticks and iron rods. Police have registered a case against eight persons, including the main accused Mr Reddy.
Durga Prasad, who was badly injured, is in critical condition. He is being treated at a hospital in Kurnool. Police reached Reddy residence at 2 am and took him into custody. He is likely to be produced before Banaganepalli Court on Monday.
Further reports state that YSRCP MLA Katasani Ramireddy’s followers attacked the Ex-TDP MLA’s men first and later the latter’s followers engaged with Ramireddy’s supporters.
