Before the elections, YSRCP included Amma Vodi scheme in its manifesto and Jagan clearly stated that the scheme can be availed by mothers who send their children to school, be it private or government.
But after forming the government, the CM Jagan initially said that the scheme can be availed by only the moters who send their children to government schools. The move was instead appreciated by the netizens, that the promised Rs. 15000 would reach to those who really deserve it.

But the state government now reviewed the decision again and announced that it would be applicable to private schools as well. The latest decision is seen as the state government yielding to the private school mafia.
But the decision is receiving severe backlashes as many are opining that the fruits of the scheme may not reach to the beneficiaries, as the private schools increase the fees accordingly. Adding to it, this may also discourage the government schools even more. So it would be better, if the government comes up with a proper decision regarding Amma Vodi scheme, so the right ones get benefited.
