As per latest buzz, digital streaming giant Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital rights of Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Miss India’.
‘Miss India’ had wrapped up shoot and is ready for release. The makers planned to give the film a theatrical release but that wasn’t to be, owing to Covid-19 outbreak and the consequent lockdown.
The latest update is that Amazon Prime has acquired the digital rights of ‘Miss India’. They are said to have stuck a reasonable deal with the makers of the film.
In all likelihood, Miss India will be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime by the end of October. An official announcement regarding the same will be made shortly.
Narendra Nath directed Miss India and Mahesh Koneru bankrolled it.
Given the fact that theaters won’t be reopened in the near future, the producers of small and mid-range films are contemplating OTT release. Keerthy Suresh’s Penguin had already released on Amazon Prime and even Miss India is treading a similar path.
