Allu Arjun at Alluri Pre-release event: There’s a reason movies aren’t working

The pre-release event of actor Sree Vishnu’s upcoming movie, Alluri, took place today, for which Icon Star Allu Arjun was the chief guest. The movie is directed by Pradeep Varma, and has Sree Vishnu playing a police officer in the film. Alluri is all set to be released on September 23rd.

Talking about the film, Sree Vishnu said that he’s always wanted to make a film for the Police department as a tribute to the sacrifice and duty, they fulfill on a daily basis for the people and their wellbeing. He said that he waited for five years to do the film and that he’s happy that he’s finally been able to do the film. He then spoke about Allu Arjun and how the actor was the first one to recognize and appreciate Sree Vishnu after his debut film Prema Ishq Kaadhal. Sree Vishnu said that Bunny told him not to compromise when it came to the kind of films he did and, in fact, advised him to pick films with content. He said that he didn’t understand the value of those words back then but completely understands them now. He went on to talk about the kind of craze that Bunny has across the country, that the actor is widely recognized and loved everywhere in the country, so much so that people recognize Sree Vishnu from S/O Satyamurthy even in places where there is no oxygen. Sree Vishnu also said that Bunny promised to stand by and support him whenever he needed any of his help and said that the actor has stuck to his word to date.

When Allu Arjun took the mic, naturally, there was a huge cheer and massive euphoria from the crowd, who were very excited to see their favorite actor back in public after a really long gap. Talking about the film, Bunny wished the entire team all the very best and said that he hoped the film would do well at the box office. He said that he’s known Sree Vishnu for a long time now and has been closely following the actor’s career since his debut. Bunny said that he has a soft corner for Sree Vishnu because the actor’s dedication and hard work reflects in the kind of films he makes and the kind of scripts he chooses. He said that Sree Vishnu never asked him for help in all these years but asked him to grace the pre-release event of Alluri, making it the first time ever. Bunny said that Sree Vishnu requested him to go to the event because the actor wanted to market the film a bit, and Bunny noted that he wanted to go to the event no matter what, as he understood how important the film is to Sree Vishnu.

Bunny then made a small remark on the current situation of films in the Telugu states, where films are not performing very well and said that recent times had been the best example of the audience rejecting films if they have bad content. He said that it doesn’t matter whether a film is big or small, and all that matters is the content of the film, which decides whether the film will be a hit or flop. He said that this is the right trend for movies to be going in.
