Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda has one of the best interval blocks in recent times and anyone who has watched the film will agree with the same. The main reason why the interval block is receiving such a good response is Thaman’s splendid background score.
Well, it appears to be that there has been a fair deal of emphasis that was put into composing the soundtrack for Akhanda.
As revealed by Thaman himself, he employed a team of traditional Kerala Chanda instruments players to compose the drums version. And that was not all. Thaman also bought onboard experienced sound mixer Shadab Rayeen to get the acoustics right.
The whole composing and recording session is said to have costed the makers of Akhanda in the range of Rs 25- 30 lakh, which is pretty big tally for the background score for one particular episode in the film.
