A few days ago, the government of Kerala announced that it would soon be launching an OTT service through which it will be supporting small-budget films. This platform will be extensively streaming low-budget and offbeat films produced by filmmakers across the state.
Now, the government of Tamil Nadu has decided to follow Kerala government in launching its own OTT service.
Tamil Nadu government is planning to support small-time filmmakers by launching a dedicated OTT platform that will stream films made on a small scale. An official announcement on the same will be made soon.
This surely is a great initiative and it is high time that the governments of the twin Telugu states also launch an OTT service which facilitates upcoming filmmakers.
