The government of Andhra Pradesh recently permitted cinema halls to reopen and operate with 50% capacity. Meanwhile, cinema halls in Telangana has already resumed operations with 100% seating capacity.
Now, Karnataka government has followed a similar path and permitted the reopening of cinema halls across the state. The state general administration department passed the final orders on cinema halls a short while back.
Movie theaters in Karnataka can now operate with 50% seating capacity. Strict Covid protocol and sanitary measures should be followed at all times in theater premises.
With cinema halls across South India set to resume operations, we can expect biggies like Radhe Shyam, and KGF 2 to locks release dates very soon.
As for Tollywood, August is billed to be a busy month for Tollywood box office as the likes of Love Story, Tuck Jagadish, and other biggies are gearing up for theatrical release.
