Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy is always in the news for one reason or the other. This time, it’s because the ACB court gave him a major shock by dismissing one of his petitions.
Revanth Reddy filed a petition in the ACB court which stated that the cash-for-vote case comes under the Election Commission of India’s consideration, and not that of the Anti Corruption Bureau’s.
This is because paying money in order to get votes directly comes under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Dismissing Revanth’s petition, the ACB court scheduled the hearing of the case on February 8th.
The ACB court has also asked everyone involved in the cash-for-vote to be present during the hearing of the case without fail.
