A person called Teja Reddy YS belonging to Prakasham district masqueraded in the name of Avinash Reddy claiming to be a doctor and treated many people for almost in 14-15 hospitals.
Since past six months, the unabashed trickster claiming to be an expert doctor had been treating cops for covid-19 in the Rachakonda commesionarate. He is reportedly a 5th class drop out who escaped from home and later believed to have done internship in Jain medical college.
Avinash voluntarily approached the people around Rachakonda commesionarate covid cell and convinced to treat the police officials assuring that he has good experience about the virus treatment. The fake doctor had been prescribing paracetamol, checking blood pressure and other vital signs of police officers. He also attended the awareness programs spearheaded by the covid cell to augment the hope and trust.
However, the police who had been alerted by one of his family members felt dubious and arrested the fake doctor-Avinash Reddy, his father V Venkat Rao and B Srinivas Rao, an educational consultant. The two and few absconding partners in crime have been inculpated for providing fake documents right from 10th to MBBS degree to Avinash.
The conman also tricked a girl who did BDS claiming to be a doctor and married her. Within a month the truth was exposed and his wife began residing independently away from him.
