Hashtag #Shameless Tv9 is currently trending in sixth position on Twitter with nearly 200k retweets.
The hashtag propagated even more when TV 9 self trolled “Shame on us”. This response comes after many people demanded a ban on TV 9 for misinterpreting news.
One of the user requested DGP to take action against TV 9 host for wearing military uniform and reading news and claimed it as an insult to India. Where one more advocate raised a complaint on TV 9 for showing Ladakh border as a boundary encompassing from Pakistan but not India.
While Shiva Sankar Rao, party member of Jana Sena wrote a letter to TV9 against the repeated scrolling of Madhavi latha’s provoking social media post on Pawan Kalyan, which has been deleted later.
The letter read, “Respected managing editor of TV 9, You replayed actress Madhavi Latha’s provocative post about Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on your channel for a long time on 4 the September. Scrolling a news based on post repeatedly in a channel is inappropriate. This creates furore among people erupting differences in the Nation’s unity and the religious conflicts in the society. This has hurt our Jansena’s sentiments and appeal to you to follow journalism in real sense”. He further went on to say to not repeat it in his letter.
Madhavi Latha came back with a strong reply after facing sharp criticism. Although the context is not clear, it insuniatingly hurted Pawan Kalyan fans where it is speculated that she asked the actor to reply to true fans of South India and not other state people who are not genuine.
On the other hand few netizens commented to downgrade the TV 9 app on play store.
