The Bharatiya Janata Party continues to support Jagan, despite the many misfires that have taken place so far. The BJP also thought that it could undermine the TDP with the help of Jagan, but that is not happening either.
Chandrababu Naidu is putting all of his experience into fighting Jagan, and strongly positioning himself as the opposition in the state. As a result, the plans of intellectuals like Sunil Deodhar and GVL Narasimha Rao have failed.
Added to that, the BJP has not been able to grow in Andhra Pradesh, despite its many efforts, because the voters of the state have been divided according to their caste. The Reddys are with Jagan, the Kammas with Chandrababu, and the Kapus with Pawan Kalyan.
Andhra Pradesh BJP also brought in Kanna Lakshminarayana and made him the president, but even that did not yield many benefits for the party.
AP BJP is now looking forward to the Jamili elections in 2022, and experts say that if TDP gets stronger, then the party would definitely shift gears, now that it already has the support of Pawan’s Jana Sena.
Looking at the way BJP is planning, it is very clear that it is hanging on to Jagan because of his majority in the state.
