The first trailer of the BBC One’s, `A Suitable Boy’, a TV adaption directed by Mira Nair is out and it is quite engaging. The story of the web series is fabricated based on the best selling novel written by Vikram Seth on same name.
`A Suitable Boy’, recounts the tale of lively college student, Lata, set in the backdrop of independent country in 1951. Gorgeous beauty Tabu and Ishaan Kattar alongside Ram Kumar, Tanya Maniktala, Namit Das, and Rasika Dugal were featured in trailer and the hot romantic feelings brewing between Ishaan Khattar and Tabu remains the intriguing part.
The trailer shows a sneak peek of lives in four families, but the narrative is focused more around Rupa Mehra (Mahira Kakkar), who aspires to get a suitable boy for her 19-year-old daughter Lata (played by Tanya Maniktala). On the flip side, story between Maan Kapoor, played by Ishaan Khatter and an escort played by Tabu as Saaeda Bai, becomes unacceptable by the society.
The one-minute trailer contains numerous romantic scenes involving Ishaan and Tabu. When questioned about his experience in the film, Ishan quoted saying, although it was daunting, he was quite excited and couldn’t wait to see himself alongside Tabu.
