Right after it was out that Pawan Kalyan spent only Rs.8 lakh as election expenditure for Gajuwaka segment, there were several trolls on him saying that no one believes it.
The Janasena Chief has submitted expenditure statements and account books related to the election expenditure and it was revealed that he only spent Rs.8 lakh, while most of his political opponents expenditure was in Crores.
According to the Election Commission, a candidate contesting for Assembly seat is allowed to spend a maximum limit of Rs.28 lakh and for Lok Sabha seat Rs.70 lakh. But the expenditure of the big parties easily crosses Rs. 50 crore for all the seats, which everyone is aware of. But Pawan spending such a low amount is drawing criticism from the antis.
The thing to be noted here is, those parties who are not confident of winning the elections and are craving for power will be ready to spend crores and crores of rupees for the elections. But Pawan was never greedy to get to on to the top chair and even his financial position was put in public, while filing the election affidavits, which was just around Rs. 50 crores and adding to it, he even has debts to be cleared.
Throughout the election campaigning, Pawan maintained that his party Janasena will bring the zero budget politics and none of his party candidates will spend even a rupee for the votes. As said, there were no evidences to prove any of the candidates from Janasena, have spent a rupee during the election campaign.
So it should not be a surprise to know that Pawan Kalyan spent only Rs.8 lakh during the elections.
