Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is slowly making his mark in all sectors and now he is encouraging the cine field to establish themselves in the Andhra Pradesh.
Since its evolution, the Telugu Film Industry majorly situated in Chennai (Madras) and Hyderabad. Several films were shot in cities like Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam but no production house has been established so far.
Now as popular filmmaker Suresh Babu has met YS Jagan two days back to request him to inaugurate the houses constructed by the film industry for the Hudhud victims, the speculations are rife that Jagan has invited them to establish production houses in Andhra Pradesh.
It is being said that he even advised them to construct new studios in Vishakapatnam as a supporting cause for the development in his executive capital.
He even promised that there will be tax deductions for the going-to-be constructed studios and will get every full support from the government.
There are obvious reasons for Jagan to encourage the filmmakers by offering tax deductions. If major studios are established in Vizag, he can showcase them as one of their governments’ achievements and it even strengthens his cause for the establishment of executive capital in Vizag.
Another reason is, predominantly the film industry has traditionally been a Kamma bastion and most of the Telugu industry biggies have always been pro-TDP.
There were not many YSRCP supporters in the industry. So, he wants to wipe out that tradition by encouraging the filmmakers to establish their bases in Vizag so that he can play an important part in its evolution.
