Tamil’s famous director Pa Ranjith who is well-known for his ‘Ambedkar’ ideologies has come up with sensational comments on a producer. Pa Ranjith the young Tamil director who has made some socially conscious movies like Kabali, Kaala, etc has come out in singer Chinmayi Sripada’s support.
In one of the latest incidents, Pa Ranjith has spoken against the senior producer K Rajan for threatening to destroy playback singer Chinmayi Sripada. In one of the events at Chennai, K Rajan had spoken in a threatening way against the playback singer who is also a dubbing artist. Chinmayi was called ‘Cheap’ and termed to be tarnishing the reputation of senior Tamil lyricist Varimuthu.
Pa Ranjith who came in the support of Chinmayi mentioned that it is high time for the movie industry to condemn such harassments against women. He even gave a call that women who come up with sexual harassment complaints must be given proper justice instead of threatens. This act by Pa Ranjith has caught good appreciation.
It is a known fact that Chinmayi Sripada has been vocal on sexual harassment and threatening cases within the movie industry. Pa Ranjith’s call might be considered as an example of how seriously these threatens must be considered.
