Amid good expectations, Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata has hit the screens across the globe today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:

Being a private loan lending company owner in the USA, Mahesh( Mahesh Babu) gives $10K dollars to Keerthy( Keerthy Suresh). After coming to a conclusion thar Keerthy cheated him and left for India, to recover his money Mahesh lands in Vizag. This is where Mahesh confronts with Rajendranath( Samuthirakani ). As a sub-plot, Mahesh takes up a bigger issue. What is the issue? How will Mahesh exposes the political involvement in financial scandals happening in India, forms the crucial crux of the film.

On-screen performances:

Mahesh Babu just nailed it with his screen presence and energetic performance throughout the film. He carried the entire film on his shoulders and impresses with his aura. His dance movements are a surprise package in the movie.

Heroine Keerthy Suresh is cute on screen and her chemistry with Mahesh is an adds advantage to the first half proceedings. The track between the lead pair in the first half has good moments.

Actor Samuthirakani is apt in his role as a seasoned politician. His confrontation episodes with Mahesh in the second half will be loved by the mass audience. Comedian Vennela Kishore is okay in his hero’s sidekick role.

Off-screen talents:

Music by Thaman is superb as all the songs are superhit audio-wise and even more appealing on screen. His background score elevates a couple of heroic scenes and action blocks.

The cinematography by Madhu is top-notch as he showcased the entire film on a lavish note with his lens. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is okay.

Director Parasuram tried to showcase a money-related social issue by incorporating enough commerical elements in the narrative. Though the director succeed in presenting Mahesh Babu in a new dimension, his outdated execution scene order in the second half disappoints the general audience big-time.

Positive Points:

  • Mahesh’s screen presence
  • Ma Ma Mahesha song
  • A few episodes in the first half

Negative Points:

  • Routine template scenes in the second half
  • Preachy portions on financial system in country

Verdict:

In an overview, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is Mahesh Babu’s one-man show and watching him in an energitic role is a treat to his fans. On the flip side, regular template commerical narrative in the second half comes as a minus for the movie. All we suggest is to keep a check on your expectations and watch the film.
