In a heart wrenching incident, as many as 132 people, including 123 passengers and nine crew members, are announced dead in a horrible Chinese aircraft crash on Monday.
According to reports, no survivors have been identified in the scattered wreckage of the China Eastern plane. “Wreckage of the plane was found at the scene, but up until now, none of those aboard the plane with whom contact was lost has been found,” a state broadcaster said over 18 hours after the crash.
According to the broadcaster, the accident involving a China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 took place near the city of Wuzhou in Teng county. Flight MU5735 was en route to Guangzhou in Guangdong province from Kunming, capital of Yunnan province.
Reports revealed that the plane descended at a final rate of 31,000 feet a minute according to FlightRadar24 and sparked a mountainside fire.
Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said, “We are trying to organise search and rescue and will find out the reason for the crash accident as soon as possible to ensure the absolute safety of aviation operations.”
