India vs Pakistan matches are always special. Well, the latest match between the two arch-rivals on Sunday at the 2022 Women’s ODI World Cup was more so, all thanks to a 6-month-old baby of Pakistan’s touring party.
India has dominated Pakistan with a 107-run win on the field. However, the daughter of Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof had become the centre of attention after the game when the Indian players just couldn’t have enough of the baby.
In a viral picture, Indian players Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Harmanpreet Kaur among others can be seen playing with the little baby and taking selfies Bismah Maroof and her daughter.
The selfie went viral all over the internet with fans lauding the heart-warming image and legendary cricketer Sachin shared the picture with the tweet, “What a lovely moment! Cricket has boundaries on the field, but it breaks them all off the field. Sport unites!”
The way Indian women cricketers treated Pakistan team captain Bismah Maroof after the match was impressive. The ICC also shared the photo on Twitter. “Little Fatima’s first lesson in the spirit of cricket from India and Pakistan,” the caption read.
