Addressing the assembly and counsel today, Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan said the government was working to reach out to the people with several welfare schemes. He informed that the formation of new districts will begin from Ugadi.
Explaining the welfare works carried out by the Andhra Pradesh government led by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the governor said the government would implement various welfare schemes to support all sections. He said that better development has been achieved in the fields of education and medicine.
The governor was of the view that the village secretariats were working to extend the rule to the lower echelons. Proposals have been prepared to set up 16 new medical colleges.
“We are setting up a kidney research centre at Srikakulam District,” the governor said. He said that millions of farmers were being benefited from the free electricity scheme.
