Super Star Mahesh Babu is surprising everyone with his business acumen. Few months back, a film titled Major was announced under Mahesh Babu’s production house. Starring Adivi Sesh in lead role, the film is inspired by 26/11 Mumbai attacks martyr Major Unnikrishnan.
Earlier, it was announced that the film is produced co-jointly produced by Sony Pictures and Mahesh Babu. But, inside buzz is that Mahesh is not producing the film. Yes, you heard it right.
As per our inside sources, Sony Pictures will produce the film and they use Mahesh’s brand. Namratha will look at the production activities.
It is also learnt that without investing single penny on Major film, Mahesh Babu will be getting 20% of the profits for using his brand name.
We also exclusively learnt that for Sarileru Neekevvaru, Mahesh’s name is included as one of the producers. Mahesh will not invest anything but he will be owning the non-theatrical rights for starring in the film.
On the work front, Mahesh Babu is busy shooting for his next film Sarileru Neekevvaru, which is being directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and the makers are planning to release the film during Pongal 2020.
