Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister, YS Sharmila, started a political party of her own in Telangana this year, the YSRTP. Ever since she launched her own party, she has been attacking the TRS and Telangana Chief Minister KCR. She even went on record saying that she doesn’t even know who KTR is.
As a result, when Sharmila tweeted in support of KTR today, she became the target for political criticism and trolls. Sharmila supported KTR when he lashed out at the comments made by Teenmar Mallanna – who recently joined the BJP – against the body-shaming comments that he made against Himanshu Rao, KTR’s son. The video where Mallanna asked whose assets were growing bigger by the day, that of Bhadrachalam temple, or that of Himanshu’s girth, has gone viral on social media.
KTR responded to these comments seriously, asking if this is what politics is about now. He even tagged BJP bigwigs in the tweet. Sharmila, responding to KTR’s tweet, said that no matter which party one belongs to, children shouldn’t be dragged in. While her cause is noble, her comments in the past seem to be haunting her badly right now.
