Justice Kanagaraj, who was appointed as the state election commissioner of Andhra Pradesh and lost his post within a short period, seems to have secured a new post.
Justice Kanagaraj has retired as a judge in the Madras High Court. The state government, which got into a ‘fight’ with SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar last year, sacked Nimmagadda Rameshkumar overnight.
Hence, Justice Kanagaraj took over as SEC. After that Nimmagadda Ramesh fought for justice and took over as SEC again. Recently, the Supreme Court has decided to set up a ‘Police Compliance Authority’ in the state.
It is believed that Justice Kanagaraj will be appointed as the Chairman. The Supreme Court has set up PCA to investigate complaints against the police.
