The Central government has appointed Viswabhooshan Harichandan as a new governor of Andhra Pradesh. While there were anticipations that even Telangana may get a new governor soon, the reports are rife that there would not be any such move in the near future.
ESL Narasimhan has been appointed as a governor in 2009 by UPA government. But right after the formation of NDA government in the country, it was anticipated that he will be removed from the position and replaced with a new candidate, due to the rivalry between Congress and BJP governments.
But shockingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confined Narasimhan to his position. While he already completed 9 years as governor, he was estimated to step down. But the Centre did not show any such indications.
Along with AP, recently, the Centre appointed new governors to the states of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, and Bihar. If at all, it had any plans of changing the governor of Telangana, then it could have announced along with the states mentioned above.

Adding to it, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is extending his support to Narasimhan, which is what making the Centre retain him as the governor of Telangana. So it is thus evident that Narasimhan is going to remain as the governor for a good number of days.
