When YS Rajasekhar Reddy was the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, he appointed Noel Swaranjit Sen as the Director-General of Andhra Pradesh Police. Sen worked in the post until his retirement on December 30, 2006.
Post this, Sen was made the chairman of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, and in 2014, he was honoured for his integrity and service during the centennial celebrations of the National Council of Churches in India held in Secunderabad. Sen is a 1968-batch IPS officer from West Bengal.
Sen’s wife, Anitha Sen has a very dubious background though, having face allegations in a child adoption racket in 2001. She ran an adoption agency by the name “Precious Moments,” without any prior permission from the Central Adoption Resources Agency. She faced jail for the same, for a few years, before she was released on bail.
According to the reports, Noel Swaranjit Sen and his wife Anitha Sen, along with their son, recently met with YS Sharmila – YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s daughter, and the current CM of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister. It is being said that the Sen family would soon be joining Sharmila in her party and helping her out as well.
