Prashanth Neel announced himself on the big stage with KGF which went on a rampage at the box office. The Yash starrer was one of the biggest hits of 2018 and the sequel, KGF 2 which will be out this July has garnered humongous buzz and anticipation.
Interestingly enough, Prashanth apparently narrated both Salaar and KGF to Yash a while back. The latter picked KGF and rejected Salaar.
Cut to now, Prashanth made some cosmetic changes to Salaar script in order to suit the larger-than-life image of Prabhas. The Baahubali star loved the plot and immediately came on-board for the project and that is how Salaar conceptualised.
Salaar is billed to be a high-octane action thriller which caters to pan-India audiences. Prabhas is playing a full on mass role in the film. Shruti Hassan will be pairing with him.
Prabhas is currently busy with Adipurush and Salaar and he is shooting for both these projects simultaneously. While Salaar will be out in theatres on 14th of April, 2022, Adipurush will be releasing on 11th of August later that year.
