Reliance Industries Ltd’s (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani has once again emerged as the richest person in Asia. The Indian business tycoon has overtaken China‘s Zhong Shanshan, whose bottled water company lost $22 billion this week.
As per reports, Reliance Industries chairperson has a net worth of about $80 billion, while Zhong Shanshan’s net worth is $76.6 billion.
For the last couple of years, Mukesh Ambani has driven the ranking of Asia’s richest people. But Shanshan snatched the title from the RIL Chairman after the listing of his two companies. By early 2021, the Chinese tycoon was the sixth-richest person on the planet.
In November 2020, Ambani had dropped three places in the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires list after his RIL suffered heavy losses in the stock market.
