Actress and BJP leader Madhavi Latha has approached the Cyberabad police alleging that she was targetted by some group of people on social media. She lodged a joint complaint with CP Sajjanar on Thursday seeking action against the accused.
The former actress alleged that some people are unwantedly using her name in women scandal cases. As per her, the harassment has increased after she talked about the temples issue in AP.
After meeting the CP Sajjanar, Madhavi took to her Twitter and wrote, “Met @cyberabadpolice Commissioner Sajjanar sir and gave a written complaint against abuse and character assassination on social media. This time, not just a complaint very soon all those who are abusing me will be booked as per law.”
She later said a group is targeting her on social media and posting obscene things. “A campaign against me is going on now and it is mentally crippling me. That’s why I turned to the cybercrime police. I urge the police to take action against the perpetrators of such heinous acts,” she said.
