TRS has been too dominant in Telangana since its formation and the Congress’s all efforts went in vain. Then comes Bharatiya Janata Party which marked its emergence with their pre-poll excellence in the parliamentary elections. Later, TRS managed to retain its domination for a short period of time and now in the Dubbaka by-polls the inconsistency of TRS’s administration was revealed big time.
After the 11 rounds of the counting of the Dubbaka by-polls, BJP was in lead with 34,748 to their symbol and TRS is fighting with 30,815 votes while Congress is settled with 8,582 votes so far. Though this is a small margin in terms of the general vote count, the effect will be huge on TRS and there is already enormous pressure on the big heads like KCR, KTR and Harish Rao.
While the ruling TRS is hoping to retain the seat, BJP was optimistic right from the beginning. They have played all their cards gently and TRS being over confident and their desperation to outsmart the opposition by targeting BJP blew back to their faces. Bandi Sanjay played a key role in this outcome with his unstoppable banter and made KTR and other leaders dance to his beat.
This is not an outcome for overnight efforts from BJP but sheer planning and too much dedication was put into their party. So, is this the countdown for TRS in Telangana? Maybe in Dubbaka for now..!
