‘800’, the Telugu-Tamil-Hindi movie, will be an October 6th release. Senior Tollywood producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad recently confirmed its grand release. Director MS Sripathy has cast Madhur Mittal in the role of the celebrated Sri Lankan bowler Muthiah Muralidaran.
Ahead of the biopic’s theatrical release, a grand pre-release event was held today in Hyderabad. It was a sight to behold as Muralidaran and chief guest VVS Laxman recounted the best incidents from their collective past. “Muralidaran is Mr. Cricket. He knows about every match that takes place across the world. He follows each and every match. He eats, breathes and thinks always about cricket,” Laxman, the former cricketer, said.
“Muralidaran must know a lot of Indian languages. He has many friends here in Hyderabad. On the cricket field, the battle between Murali and his rivals would be intense. Off the field, he would chill out with the same guys,” Laxman said.
Muralidaran said that he knows about Victory Venkatesh’s passion for cricket. He also mentioned Jr NTR, Nani and Prabhas. He thanked MS Sripathy for telling his story.
Sivalenka Krishna Prasad implied that ‘800’ features moving scenes. “I will continue to produce movies. But ‘800’ will always be unique,” he added. On Sridevi Movies, Krishna Prasad recently made ‘Yashoda’. That film bestowed him with awareness, giving him the encouragement to go for the pan-India release of ‘800’.
