People of Bihar terrified as the dead bodies of covid victims reached in rafts to the Ganges. Conditions in several parts of the Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have become alarming as decomposing corpses reached the river bank. People are opined that as relatives could not find a place to hold a funeral for the Covid dead bodies, they have dumped them into the river Ganges.
About 40-50 bodies reached Mahadev Ghat in Chausa on Monday. All the dead bodies are bloated and rotten. The people were terrified when they saw them. Authorities believe all the bodies have been dumped by the people of Uttar Pradesh around 5-7 days ago. On the other hand, bodies were found floating in the water at various ghats in the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. Nearly 80 corpses were found around the Mahadev Ghat. All the dead bodies were wrapped according to the Covid protocol.
