Producer-turned-director MS Raju has come up with a young-age romantic drama starring his son, Sumanth Ashwin, in 7 Days 6 Nights. The movie was released at the theatres on Friday and is getting a good response from audiences from all walks of life. In this regard, the movie team organised a success meet to mark their hit.
The veteran filmmaker MS Raju said at Success Meet, “I went to the theatre and saw a movie. Seeing the reaction of the audience seemed very happy. We watched it with 350 people at Prasad Multiplex. We got a marvellous experience, good entertainment and emotion. The audience will enjoy it very much. Everyone knows how difficult it is to bring a small film to the front of the audience these days. We had that hard time. Collections are growing everywhere with every show. Mouth publicity is very powerful. From ‘Shankarabharanam’ to the present, classic films have grown by word of mouth. The youth loved it immensely. Family audiences who watched the morning show also enjoyed it. Many people mean that our film industry today is limited to big movies. No one will come out of it. Because, all the big producers have made films with Pan India heroes. Now the governments of the two Telugu states have permitted to increase the ticket rate for big movies. Everything is happy. My request is to increase rates for big movies and reduce them for small films, which are under Rs 4 crore budget.”
Presented by Sumanth Art Productions, Sumanth Ashwin, S Rajinikanth are producing 7 Days 6 Nights under Wild Honey Production, Wintage Pictures and ABG Creations.
