Akshay Kumar has been preoccupied with multiple films back to back ever since the lockdown was eased last year. He has begun and completed shoots for projects–Bell Bottom, Atrangi Re and was currently working on ‘Ram Setu’. This created a lot of hype and expectations among film buffs.
Recently, the actor was shooting for his film RamSetu along with Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez. Later it is known that he contracted covid-19 during the second wave and isolated himself. He assured fans he would be back in action soon.
“I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon,” he tweeted today.
The actor is the latest Bollywood star to test positive for the viral infection. Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ranbir Kapoor and few others had been diagnosed lately.
