15 CBI, ED cases of Jagan’s comes to hearing in 4 days..! Court to suffocate Jagan?

10 cases by the Central Bureau of Investigation and 5 cases by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that are filed against the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy have come to hearing in the special courts. All these cases will be heard in a span of 4 days and this week is going to be a hefty some work for Jagan’s advocates and for the CM as well.

Jagan, being the A1 in so many cases already asked the court for exemptions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, he went to Delhi to meet Modi, and roamed in public, with children during the ‘Jagananna Vidya Kanuka’ scheme launch but the COVID might only attack the AP CM when he attends the court as per protocol.

Barring all this, Jagan’s advocate G. Ashok Reddy urged the court to postpone the hearing into the cases to a later date, after the Dasara holidays, in view of the Corona crisis. However, the court refused to postpone the hearing of the cases beyond the Dasara holidays.

Ashok Reddy, in turn, said that there is no such rule that the people’s representatives’ cases should be heard on a regular basis and to this, the court argued why would the High Court include this point in the guidelines if there were no such directions from the Supreme Court.

The intention of the Jagan Mohan Reddy is clearly understood by the courts and they are going for the trial without any delay as these cases have been long-pending. The court also made it clear that they would have to physically attend the court until facilities for the online hearing were made.

These are the cases against CM Jagan to be heard :
