10th Class Diaries Review: Lacks freshness

10th Class Diaries starring Srikanth, Avika Gor as the lead pair has been promoted decently. Directed by Garudavega Anji, the film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:

Depressed and dissatisfied with his routine lifestyle, an NRI Somayaju( Sriram) returns to India in search of his lost life. What is his childhood? His love story with classmate Chandini( Avika Gor)? Memorable journey with friends in childhood? To know the answer to the questions, you have to watch the film in the theatres near you.

On-screen performances:

Srikanth as an NRI is appealing on screen. His acting in search of his lost love is convincing and adds an emotional touch to the proceedings.

Heroine Avika Gor did her purposeful role quite effectively. Avika’s performance adds realistic texture to a few key scenes in the crucial second half.

Actors like Srinivasa Reddy and Achut Ramarao P generated decent fun at regular intervals.Other artists such as Himaja, Veda Archana Sastry, Siva Balaji, Nasser, and Vennela Rama Rao did their key roles perfectly.

Off-screen Talents:

The music by Suresh Bobbili is alright. While all the songs are passable on screen, the background score elevates a few key episodes in both halves.

Editing work by Prawin Pudi is okay. Director Garudavega Anji himself handled the cinematography work for the film. As a photographer, Anji did a decent job.

Coming to his directional skills, Anji did an okayish job. His core theme is fine but the execution part lacks engaging moments.

Verdict:

In an overview, 10th Class Diaries is a regular rom-com drama that lacks an interesting presentation. Though the actors gave a decent performance, the routine template narrative comes as a major drawback to the movie.
