YS Sharmila established her party, YSRTP, in July, in Telangana, and so far, two notable leaders from the state have already called it quits. The latest to join the list is Indira Shobhan, who joined the party in the first week of March. Within just five months, she quit the party, by giving her resignation to YS Sharmila in a written statement.
For over a month now, there have been rumours and speculations that Indira Shobhan was planning to quit the party, and Indira neither confirmed nor thrashed these reports. It is being said that the main reason she quit the party is that she isn’t happy with the way things are happening in the party, and also because she has been feeling sidelined in the party. On several occasions, Indira was sidelined on the stage itself.
On the other hand, Indira had quit the Congress party earlier as she wasn’t happy with Uttam Kumar Reddy’s leadership, and after the Graduate Constituency elections defeat. Given that she’s a Revanth Reddy loyalist, and now that he’s the TPCC Chief, it is being said that she might rejoin Congress.
