Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party President Somu Veerraju recently shocked everyone when he made an announcement regarding reinstating Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh if the BJP came into power in the next general elections.
Usually, the YSRCP is quick to condemn those who support Amaravati, and impose caste blames and other blames on those people. The same thing was done when ex-AP BJP President, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana supported Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Somu Veerraju spoke in a totally different way up until now, supporting the YSRCP’s stance on 3 capitals, which is why his latest statements are confusing everyone, leaving everyone in a state of shock, and in a state of not being able to respond properly.
YSRCP member Srikanth Reddy asked Somu Veerraju to read the manifesto of the BJP, and asked him to realise the fact that the BJP manifesto clearly states the fact that the High Court would be based out of Kurnool. Another minister, Vellampalli Srinivas, said that it would greatly be appreciated if Somu Veerraju could get funds for Amaravati, and that it would also be appreciated, if Somu also brings funds for the development of Rayalaseema as well.
The members of the YSRCP are now reportedly perplexed as they are unable to cast any labels on Somu Veerraju. It is now to be seen what political circumstances this situation will lead to.
