The new amendments brought by the Modi government in agriculture created enough uproar in Northern India and the farmers are raging towards the parliament. Now it has slowly spread to all the states in the country.
The Modi government has brought in the main objective of promoting corporate agriculture. The main demand of the farmers is to withdraw these laws. The center believes that the regional parties are pushing the farmers towards the center as these new laws would affect their governments.
There is a feeling that the farmers in the whole country are against the Modi government and some states are looking to utilise the situation. Also there are large scale criticisms. In the process, the Modi government brought a key issue to the fore. The governments of the respective states have given their approval in the Parliament.
All gave nod to these new laws in parliament in unison yet there is an uproar. The YSRCP is in a critical position. When the new agricultural laws related to farmers were discussed in the Parliament, YCP members praised them a lot. Especially in the Rajya Sabha, Vijay Saireddy spoke on these agricultural bills for more than 10 minutes.
In Parliament too, Mithun Reddy and other MPs said that these agricultural bills are a crucial turning point in the future of the country. Thus the YCP also gave its support in Lok Sabha as well. What is the answer of the YSRCP to the questions that are raising as a part of the peasant movement? This is definitely an interesting question.
