Members of the YSRCP celebrated when the High Court of Andhra Pradesh gave its verdicts in favour of the AP government, regarding local elections and Atchennaidu’s arrest case. However, the YSRCP is now once again considering the AP HC to be its biggest enemy.
The verdicts that the Andhra Pradesh High Court has given in the cases regarding the issues of Zuari Cements, Jayadev Galla’s Amara Raja Batteries and most recently, the verdict given in the issue of the Sangam Dairy case, have now disappointed the AP government.
The High Court took up the hearing filed by the directors of Sangam Dairy and said that the company doesn’t belong to the government and that the GO issued by the government in this regard is not valid. The HC also said that the entire power to run Sangam dairy now resides with the directors of the company and that the government shouldn’t interfere with it. The HC also said that the government should inform the HC about any decision that the government takes, regarding the selling of any lands belonging to Sangam dairy.
On the other hand, Sangam Dairy chairman, TDP leader and former MLA Narendra is currently under remand and has been taken to a hospital, where he is receiving treatment, as he is keeping unwell these days. On the whole, though, looking at the YSRCP’s attitude towards the judiciary, it is clear that the YSRCP members are ready to change their opinions on the judiciary, based on the kind of verdict the judiciary gives on something pertaining to the government.
