It is known that the farmers in Andhra Pradesh will be benefitted from the ‘Fund Transfer’ (Nagadu Badili) scheme in the place of the ‘Free Electricity’ scheme which was introduced by the former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy from now on.
Now, the opposition criticizes that Jagan scrapped an important scheme on the death anniversary of YSR, and immediately YCP made a desperate attempt to coverup the damage.
AP government Chief advisory Ajay Kallam come before the media out of nowhere and made his own argument. It is very strange as Ajay preferred to tell what happened in 1997, rather than the real thing, but in the end, what he said was that Jagan was improvising and taking forward all the reforms introduced by YSR in the field of electricity so that fund transfers were being introduced instead of free electricity.
It is very clear that Jagan actually ruined the whole thing. YSR made it clear that agricultural motors need not have any electricity meters and made this ‘Free Electricity’ scheme as his election brand image to come into power. Now, Jagan Mohan Reddy is arranging smart meters for the electric motors.
As per Kalla Ajaya this nothing but taking the YSR’s reforms one step forward through arranging smart meters to the agricultural motors. Also, in lieu of free electricity, the bill will be credited to the farmers’ accounts in advance. Already AP’s economy is at its lowest.
We have seen how the government struggled to pay salaries to the employees in the last two months. Under these circumstances, what if they run into financial issues all of sudden and the money won’t be credited in farmers’ accounts? It will reflect as a loan in farmers’ accounts. Is this also the process of ‘taking a reform forward’?
Okay! Let this issue stay alone for a second. If YSRCP really thinks this is more beneficial than the previous scheme, why Minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy is saying that this is not at all their fault and are acting according to the center’s orders? Is there any room for the FAULT in ‘doing the right thing’ and ‘taking a reform forward’? So, it is quite clear that YSRCP is stretching this too much to cover up the damage and they are about to tear it with their desperation.
